The most amazing thing I ever saw and heard....

Last evening my friend and I saw the most amazing, uplifting, beautiful show. When Theresa asked me if I would like to go, there was no question. The answer was going to be yes!

We went to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra in Albany, NY.

Click above for a small sample of the music and light show.

Several members of the orchestra

The guitar player above actually hails from this area. When he came out with the River Rats jersey on there was a loud roar! It was surprising to hear how many of the orchestra members actually are originally from New York!

The drum set - my son Christopher would be in heaven with this drum set!

A picture of the lights!

They are really good at swinging their heads of hair...

The end of the show

We drove down to Albany in about 1-1/2 hours of snowy mess but by the time we hit Utica and I-90 it was clear as could be and smooth sailing from that point on. It was WELL WORTH THE DRIVE!

I want to thank Theresa's son here as he is the one who made it possible for me to attend with her. The tickets were a Christmas gift from James to his mother. I thank Theresa for including me in the gift! I will be ever grateful!! Now, to get to another show and to get my kids and Grumpy to come along! If you ever have a chance to see the show, DON'T miss it!

We are now heading home after a quick stop at Crossgates (Barnes & Noble and Christmas Tree shop!) We have beautiful sunny weather here in Albany so hopefully as we head north the weather stays the same! I'll be back tomorrow with my Tuesday's with Dorie post!

Oh ya thanks for the kind words you left on my blog concerning my daughter. ALL is well today..but things change quickly with teen girls in the house. Im such a typical mama bear!

They're coming to my neck of the woods but it won't be until after the first. By then, I'll be so sick of Christmas that I won't be in the mood. They come every year though so maybe they'll make it before Christmas next year.

Thanks for giving us a snippet of their concert!

I love Trans Siberian! My friends and I have gone for the last few years. It doesn't feel like Christmas time until we go see them.

I won tix to Trans Siberian Orchestra last year. Nice pix! The hair shaking business annoyed the crap out of me but the music was good.
